We are looking for monthly designer's to educate their peers by creating an arrangement of their choice during our designer's showcase. The showcase is limited to 30 minutes, we ask that you have a mock design created for display during our network mixer, a brief Q&A will follow. If interested, please contact for details, we ask that you have an updated bio, photo and logo available for advertisement.

SPONSORS: Local floral wholesalers will provide flowers.

All designers attending are asked to create and wear a floral-art piece. The best designed piece will win a prize.

Floral Couture Design School

Floral Couture's floral-art education program teaches students of all levels how to create stunning arrangements through workshops, seminars and conferences.

The aim of the program is to share the passion and skills with those interested in learning more about contemporary floral design. Contemporary design provides you the opportunity to think outside the box, the day will be inspired by current trends in fashions and interiors, bold colors, containers and stunning blooms used in unusual ways. Gone is the day of fuddy duddy arrangements. We will combine a number of basic skills with some floristy tricks to create some eye-catching designs.

Following an introductory session, students will receive flowers and supplies to create their very own hand-tied bouquet or arrangement. Our staff will be on hand to ensure everyone creates a design they would be happy to take home!

Floral Couture has created 3 categories of design:

Classes range from $125 for a 2 hour course, $300 for a 2 hour private session and $500 for a full day private session.

Materials
All materials required by the student will be provided, however we recommend that you bring a camera, notepad and pen (sorry, no video cameras). We begin class with refreshments. Champagne/wine are available for an additional charge.

A 50% deposit is required to secure a place in the course. The deposit is not refundable if cancellation is made less than 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the course. The balance is payable one week prior to the class. We accept cash, check and paypal payments. Gift Vouchers are available for purchase!

Minimalist Approach to Floral Design Series

Minimalist designs have become the newest trend in floral design, taking influence from the fashion and the interior design industry. Architectural floral designs are minimal, repeating and neatly aligned.

Simplistic design techniques are extremely difficult to pull off. It’s all about attention to details and the art of arranging flowers.

Monthly Hobby Classes
Classes are held twice a month; each class providing a new experience and new creative design. The cost of class is $90, all flower and supplies are included. Pre-registration is required, along with a non-refundable 50% deposit two weeks prior to class. Classes are limited to 8 students per class. We require a minimum of 4 students to sign up in order to hold classes.

Seasonal One Day Flower Course
Suitable for all who love flowers. You will take home your design after class.

Flower Market Tour
A wonderful opportunity to learn how the market works, as well as a chance to purchase flowers and supplies at discounted prices. A tour is available once a month but group visits can be arranged together with workshop.

Wedding Flowers (Three days, 3 hours per day)
This course is developed for those wanting to create bridal flowers. You will learn how to create a simple boutonniere, bouquet, corsage, pomander ball, centerpiece as well as a pedestal arrangement.

Professional Beginner to Business Course (Week Course, 3 hours per day)
Considering a change in career or looking to add or update arranging skills?
Design work will include hand-tied bouquets, daily work, wedding work, table arrangements, bow making, flower identification, flower selection, color, care and conditioning. Business work will include pricing, package branding and industry forms.

Private Course, Group and Team Building Workshops
One-on-One private courses are available upon request. Clubs and organization demonstrations are available. Corporate team building and Lunch and Learns are designed for corporate clients.

DIY Brides Boot Camp (One day/3 hour session)
These workshops will cover a trip to the flower market, flower selection, care and condition, hands-on training to create your very own bridal bouquet, boutonniere, corsage and centerpiece with little product and little time.

Flower Child or Birthday Party (One day/3 hour session)
